Alžběta Bačíková and Lucie Rosenfeldová will talk about three previous projects which they created together. At the same time the mutual cooperation will be interpreted from the point of thematic continuity of the individual work of these two authors. From the performance "Alices in front of the mirror" (2015) in which their psychological tests of personality typology became default material for a play ordered from writer S.d.Ch., they will get to the videos "Open Call" (2016) and "Drooping relationship" (2016). These videos were realised as a part of exhibitions with Martina Smutná.
Shooting of the videos often included elements such as improvisation with an actor or collecting shots at semantically loaded places. Authors will pose a question to what extent videos can be viewed from a documentary standpoint. Facts crucial to the creation and structure of works often remain hidden from the spectator. The aim of the presentation is to make these contexts visible in front of the audience as well as to discuss the critical potential of works made this way.

Joint project of Lucie Rosenfeldová and Alžběta Bačíková shall take the form of procedural exploration of the relationship between a documentary image and its public. Social relationships accompanying the production of such images, their perception and impact, will be highlighted by concentrating and further developing them directly within the artists-in-residence space.
Event is part of the fourth year running, Neighbourhood Boogie–Woogie which will liven up the streets and galleries of Žižkov. The two-week program, opening on Saturday July 14th, will include exhibitions, performances, happenings, site-specific installations and presentations inspired by Candide's garden philosophy.

26th July 2018 Workshop on Participative Script Writing for a Documentary
We are inviting the “public” to participate in a collective creation of a subject and proposal to be eventually made into a documentary film!
As part of the residency of Alžběta Bačíková and Lucie Rosenfeldová, called the “Auditorium”, a workshop on participative writing of a documentary film proposal will take place. By this experiment we will explore what role the viewer’s point of view can play, when he/she takes a direct part in the origination of the documentary, thus consciously participating in the medial construction. How can one treat the viewer’s active and engaged viewpoint in a situation when it should be shared with other “viewers-creators”? And how can such a collective endeavor change our ideas about communicating by means of a documentary image?
The initial materials for the joint effort contain motifs observed by the residential artists during their present stay in the gallery and its close neighborhood.
The workshop results will be presented during the wrap-up evening on Saturday, 28th July 2018.
