During her residency Culminating Mess, Markéta Adamcová will create paintings and texts related to the topic of intergenerational memory, which she explores as a material trace in the bodies of human and non-human organisms. In her works, she emphasizes the interconnectedness and complexity of relationships within such communities. Her residency will follow up on her ongoing show at Garage Gallery, Noise of a Dense Life, in which she elaborates on intergenerational memory and inherited predispositions through poems and paintings with layered garden motifs.
Markéta Adamcová is a visual artist and writer currently based between Prague and Frankfurt am Main, where she is studying at the Städelschule in the class of Judith Hopf. Through painting, she explores ways of transferring various personal narratives using poetic principles. She draws inspiration from the "bitter sweet" coexistence of natural and human systems.
